HISTORY

VIMTO Fizzy was first  launched in 1973 in the UK and it was imported to the region to be one of the first brands available in the local market as a carbonated fruit drink,  VIMTO Fizzy is a contemporary version of VIMTO cordial in a modern format offering.  It is made from the original recipe of VIMTO cordial with a fizz.

In 2008 VIMTO Carbonated was re-launched, targeting young Arab females. An opportunity was identified to target a segment that no other CSD paid attention to, allowing us to carve out a niche for the brand in a cluttered advertised category.

In May 2009, VIMTO launched the “Friends Forever” campaign, In 2011 Phase 2 of the “Friends Forever” campaign was launched with 2 TV executions, outdoor, POSM and limited Internet activity. 

In 2012 a functional differentiation campaign was launched to create awareness and product understanding of “Sparkling Fruit Drink”

In 2014 we launched Vimto 330ml in a glass bottle and a family size of 2.25ml

In 2016 we lunched “we’ve changed” campaign which focuses on the new look on the 250ml can
